Full Day Rome Tour - a 8 hour private tour |
The full day tour of Rome will start from the St. Peter’s
Basilica which is the largest church in the world. The square
in front of the facade of St. Peter's is called St. Peter's
square. You could experience the feeling of having your two
feet in two different countries. Italy and the Vatican.
You will then proceed towards Castel Sant’Angelo,
the Mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian. Your chauffeur will drive through
the magnificent Piazza del Popolo where you will
admire the world wide famous obelisk, you will then head towards Piazza
di Spagna and feel the atmosphere of being in the most fashionable
part of the city. You will love the Trevi Fountain
Rome’s baroque jewel. And, who knows? Maybe your lifetime wish
will come true once you have thrown a coin in it! You will drive through
Piazza Venezia, a piazza at the foot of the Capitoline
Hill and near the Roman Forum. It is dominated
by the imposing Victor Emmanuel II monument. This
is the large central square in the hub of Rome. You will then enjoy
the unique sight of the massive structure of the Colosseum
and the Roman Forums driving along the Imperial Forums.
You can’t miss a visit to Circo Massimo, nowadays
a public garden. During the reign of Constantine, the Circus could
hold more than 200,000 spectators. You will have a look at the world
wide known marble mask called Mouth of Truth (Bocca
della Verità). According to popular belief it was said that
any one putting his hand in this mouth and swearing falsely, could
not withdraw it. Watch out!
