Hotel Santa Maria. This new, single-storey hotel occupies a large space in the lively Trastevere district (Rome’s underbelly, ancient, charming and brimming with restaurants and bars). It’s a quiet oasis, overlooked by balconies. The 18 chalet-style rooms are bright and thoughtfully decorated, with stone floors, wrought-iron furniture and cheerful fabrics. They are connected by a Portico and each faces a pretty garden with orange and lemon trees, tables and umbrellas, where you can breakfast on fresh, home-baked breads and cakes.

The hotel has a one-floor plan with all rooms communicating on a monastic portico, and facing an ample and silent garden of orange-trees, flowers and Mediterranean plants, a perfect setting for enjoying breakfast in the warm and sunny roman days, or just for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Hotel Santa Maria was born on the ruins of an antique 17th century cloister, just a few meters from the beautiful Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere.
